HIGH AVAILABILITY ARCHITECTURE

Pairs of StreamGroomers can be deployed in order to ensure full transparency and service continuity in high availability architectures. An additional port is used to enable direct communications between the two appliances. Pairs of StreamGroomers can be installed as Dual or Tandem StreamGroomers:

StreamGroomers 420, 800, 1600 with a 4-port card (dual-bypass) ensure full transparency and service continuity in high availability architectures when access routers are collocated.

Dual StreamGroomers are dedicated to architectures with redundant access links. Each appliance stands inline in front of each access router, and they can be located in the same or in different buildings. The benefits are the followings :

Tandem StreamGroomers are dedicated to architectures with a single WAN access. Both appliances stands inline next to each other. The benefits are the followings :
