Real-Time Monitoring

Streamcore includes real-time visibility features to track network, application or VoIP performance and quickly troubleshoot any slowdown or user complaint. Monitoring features are truly real-time: measurements are taken in ten second increments - or even based on the last packet going through the WAN.

NETWORK MONITORING

Follow WAN infrastructure availability, usage and performance for each site

APPLICATION/VOIP MONITORING

Follow application or VoIP performance and usage per site, per business unit

TROUBLESHOOTING AND ALARMS

Use unique tools such as live connections or packet capture to troubleshoot any problem;
Be alerted whenever a service level degradation occurs

DYNAMIC PERFORMANCE MAP

Display in an automated geographic map the performance and usage of the network, applications and VoIP traffic

Network Monitoring

WAN infrastructure usage and performance can be monitored to understand how a site’s access link is performing or to measure its utilization. Active probes can also be provisioned to provide end-to-end network measurements such as latency, loss ratio, etc.

Application and VoIP monitoring

Each business application can be monitored in real-time to follow its utilization and performance from bandwidth consumption to response time (with a breakdown between server time and network time).

Moreover, dedicated VoIP measurements are provided for each site and each communication (e.g., MOS, latency, packet loss).

Troubleshooting and Alarms

To complement network, application and VoIP measurements, a set of powerful analytical troubleshooting tools provides detailed information about any issue in real-time:

  • Live connections

  • Top talkers/listeners

  • Protocols auto-discovery

  • Packet capture and display (or replay in other tools such as Wireshark)

Streamcore alarms can be set up to notify administrators of changes in the quality of service, whether it concerns network or application/VoIP delivery. Alarms are logged per site, providing a readily accessible summary of events. Notification can be exported via e-mail, RSS feed, SNMP trap or Syslog messages.

Dynamic Performance Map

The StreamMap application can display a dynamic performance map and automatically locate all sites geographically. Based on the Google Maps technology, navigation is very intuitive and service level for network, application and VoIP traffic can be displayed, as well as usage rate between each site.
